Where does Home Chef deliver?

Home Chef is a meal delivery business that sends users who are ready to cook a box of pre-portioned fresh ingredients. Home Chef ships meals to all 48 contiguous states via distribution locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Lithonia, Georgia. It also delivers to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Users can choose from more than 100 menu items including sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, and beverages. Each recipe is prepared using high-quality ingredients and each box contains everything you need to make at least three meals. Users can also create their own recipes or join cooking groups to share recipes with others.

Home Chef was founded in 2009 by Marc Lore. The company has delivered over 3 million meals to people all over the United States. In 2016, it raised $75 million from investors including KKR & Co., L Catterton, and TPG Growth.

Lore told Forbes that he decided to start Home Chef after noticing how difficult it was for some people to cook food they wanted to eat. He said he believed there was a gap in the market for a simple way to send healthy meals to your door every week. Home Chef has been praised for its quality of food but also because it's easy to use and convenient. Some people even say they love working with Home Chef because they get to learn about new foods and try different recipes.

Do you pick your meals with a home chef?

When you sign up for Home Chef, we will automatically assign you meals based on the preferences you specified during the sign-up process. After you've finished signing up, go to your account's 'Taste Profile' area to provide more extensive information about your preferences. This area is also where you can edit or delete your meal selections if needed. You can find this area by clicking on your username in the top right corner of the screen once you are logged into your account.

We recommend taking an interest in what is being served for you and adding any items that are missing from your menu. For example, if you are having chicken but don't want it cooked, then add that fact when you update your profile. This way, nothing will be served that you do not want to eat!

If you prefer something different, then feel free to suggest changes to your meals through the Home Chef community or by emailing us at [email protected] We aim to serve only foods that you ask for!

The choice of meals is dependent on which recipes have been selected for you during your registration process. If you would like to change this selection, you can do so by editing your taste profile.

Your food will be delivered weekly to your address unless you tell us otherwise.

Is Home Chef good for weight loss?

Home Chef also makes it simple to prepare more meals at home, which may aid in weight loss attempts. Indeed, studies suggest that eating more home-cooked meals is related with better diet quality and a decreased risk of obesity (1, 2, 3).

The USDA estimates that about one-third of Americans are obese. Being obese increases your risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Obesity also leads to emotional issues such as depression and anxiety. It is important to be aware of the factors that lead up to obesity and take steps to overcome them.

Home Chef provides easy-to-use cooking tools that make preparing home-cooked meals convenient and affordable. Users can choose from a variety of pre-made recipes or create their own dishes by combining ingredients from our selection. Once you've selected the recipes you want to cook, simply scan the barcode on any ingredient that isn't canned food so you can add it to your list.

After you've scanned all your ingredients, the app will guide you through the process of cooking each meal. For example, if you were to scan the barcodes for meat, potatoes, and vegetables, the app would give you recipe ideas for three different main course recipes. You can then select the recipe that sounds most appealing and the app will walk you through the process step-by-step.
